8.5g Needles Blue Agate Premium Rough (most matrix removed) 18

Description

This is a rare and beautiful 8.5g (42carat) rough cut specimen of Needles Blue Agate with most of the Rhyolite matrix removed. This is an old stock specimen that we found several decades ago from an elderly woman in Arizona. It has been in our personal collection for many years. She was a member of the Needles rock and gem club and said this was personally dug from the Blue Danube Mine near Lake Havasu in her younger years. The Agate colors include dark, medium and light blue.

This piece weighs 0.28 oz (8.5g) (42ct) and measures 1.15 x 0.73 x 0.37 inches (29 x 18.5 x 9.48 mm)
