Description
Boxwork purple Fluorite with white Calcite and fluorescent Chalcedony. This piece has a small amount of Fluorite Boxwork on a plate covered on one side with calcite and chalcedony that is peppered with tiny cubes of Dolomite. The other side has a fluorite base that has percolated recesses or vugs created during the hydrothermal process. This is a very unique large cabinet specimen! It is a highly desirable specimen of the very rare and hard to find Boxwork Fluorite. It makes a great daylight specimen as well as a killer fluorescent display! Fluorescent photos were taken in a blackout box with a Nikon CoolPix L-1 camera under a Way Too Cool 254 nm SW 9-Watt Lamp. (These pieces fluoresce under both 254 nm SW and 312 nm MW ultra-Violet Light) Daylight photos taken with the same camera outdoors in natural light. Own a Great Rare Specimen!!
