Fluorescent 11 Rare Old Stock Scheelite in Quartz

Description

This is a great find from a 1950’s collection that we recently procured. This is a fluorescent specimen of very bright Scheelite (white) in Quartz (non-fluorescent). This unique specimen was found at an unknown locale by the “Canadian Exploration Ltd.” company and was specimen number 470. This piece was collected in the 1940’s up to the early 1950’s based upon the dates this collection was assembled. It has its info on typewritten medical tape and has the price of 50 cents from back in the 1940’s. This is an amazingly unique specimen that explodes in color under SW Ultra-Violet light! Fluorescent Photos taken under a Way Too Cool Triple Wave 254/312/368 nm SW/MW/LW 9-Watt Lamp in a blackout box.

This specimen weighs 3 oz or 0.19 lbs. (87g) and measures 1.9 x 1.8 x 1.4 inches (4.9 x 4.6 x 3.5 cm)
