Description
This is an excellent medium fluorescent cabinet display specimen with shades of yellow crystals that was labratory grown in Germany. Now although we are really good at recording our specimens, through the years since 2001 when we procured this specimen in Arizona during the Tucson show….we cannot remember the name of the lab grown mineral ….sorry….it got lost in the thousands of specimens we have gotten in those last 20 plus years.
All we can tell you is that this is an amazing specimen that has been in our collection from the Las Vegas desert to the rainforests in North Carolina with no problems at all, in fact it has been one of the most admired specimens in our fluorescent display case for over 20 years. This is an amazingly unique specimen that explodes in a stunning lime green color under SW, MW and LW Ultra-Violet light! Fluorescent Photos taken under a Way Too Cool Triple Wave 254/312/368 nm SW/MW/LW 9-Watt Lamp in a blackout box. The brightest glow is SW reducing in brightness under MW to it’s LW where the crystals are more definable.(their order is SW MW LW in the photos)
Specimen weighs 11 oz or 0.69 lbs (314 g) and measures 3.9 x 2.8 x 2.2 inches (9.9 x 7.1 x 5.7 cm) The largest crystal measures 0.88 inches across (22 mm)
