Fluorescent “Blue Ice” Fluorite from Mexico
This specimen is a large cabinet specimen of what is commonly referred to as “Blue Ice” fluorite from Mexico. This specimen of fluorite in matrix fluoresces mild purple in SW and strong in MW and LW (shows best with MW and LW together). This specimen was procured from a Mexican minerals dealer in 2005. Fluorescent Photos taken under a Way Too Cool Triple Wave 254/312/368 nm SW/MW/LW 9-Watt Lamp in a blackout box.
