Large Massive Green Fluorite

This specimen is a large cabinet old stock massive chunk of green fluorite from Peru. This specimen of fluorite in matrix fluoresces mild purple in SW and strong in MW and LW (shows best with MW and LW together). This specimen was picked up from a South American minerals dealer in Quartzsite, Arizona in the early 1990’s. We were told it was mined around 1958 0r 1959. Fluorescent Photos taken under a Way Too Cool Triple Wave 254/312/368 nm SW/MW/LW 9-Watt Lamp in a blackout box.

This specimen weighs 34 oz or 2.12 lb. (965g) and measures 7 x 3.3 X 2.7 inches (17.8 x 8.4 x 6.9 cm)
