Large Cabinet Calcite, Willemite and Franklinite from the Franklin Mine, Franklin, New Jersey. This unique specimen was procured from a 1950’s miner who got it years ago at the Franklin Mine. It explodes in color under SW Ultra-Violet light. Calcite fluoresces a brilliant red-orange, Willemite fluoresces a brilliant green. Franklinite is non-fluorescent black. Photos taken in a blackout box with a Nikon CoolPix L-1 under a Way Too Cool 254 nm SW 9-Watt Lamp. Own a Classic!
