Here’s an excellent display specimen of 2 blood red Pyrope Garnets in a light green to silver green very thin (up to 1.2 mm) book of Muscovite. It is from a 1950’s collection from the Deer Park Mine, Penland, Spruce Pine Mining District, Mitchell County, N.C.

This specimen weighs 4g and measures 2 x 1.9 inches (5.3 x 4.9 cm)
