Purple Fluorite Cube Specimen from Mexico

This specimen is a purple fluorite specimen with large cube crystals. It has a bit of extraction damage to some of the crystals as seen in the photos. This fluorite is NOT fluorescent….However….There is a coating that we believe to be a petroleum based wax-like coating that fluoresces white. It does not smell or feel like there is a coating, but the white fluoresces though! A very unique specimen of fluorite from Mexico.

This specimen weighs 9 oz or 0.56 lb. (256g) and measures 3.8 x 2.4 x 1.4 inches (9.7 x 6.1 x 3.6cm)
