This is an excellent display piece for Magnesium Metal. It is a sloping group of strands that are formed when this metal cools to solid from a molten liquid form. This piece shows the leaf-like formation that naturally occurs with Magnesium Metal. You can feel the light weight of this specimen as you hold it. This rare specimen was hand selected from a display by a mineral seller at the 2024 Franklin, NC Rock Show.

This specimen weighs 25.8 oz. or 1.61 lbs. (731g) and measures 5.6 x 5 x 5.2 inches (14.3 x 12.7 x 13.2 cm)
