Mariposa “Butterfly” Calcite Old Stock 1

Description

This is a specimen of Mariposa-like “Butterfly” Calcite from our personal collection. We found this specimen over 20 years ago at a Mexican Mineral collectors booth in Quartzsite, Arizona. It was #112 in his collection. We recently found this again in our storage area and we debated over letting it go since these specimens are becoming very difficult to find. Our favorite feature of this specimen (like all our older pieces) is that it has a very strong fluorescent glow under SWUV light on the white and clear calcite areas. This is a very special piece that we hope will become one of your favorites also….for its fluorescence and its daylight presentations as well.

This specimen weighs 41.4 oz or 2.59 lbs (1.175 kg) and measures 6.5 x 4.1 x 2.5 inches (16.6 x 10.4 x 6.4 cm)
