Marra Mamba tigereye is yet another of Australia’s beautiful treasures. It is unique and there is nothing like it in the entire world. It is difficult to come by in any quality, and quite expensive when you do find it. It gets its name from the area where it formed, millions of years ago, in the vast iron rich geological Pilbara Region.

The Marra Mamba is an iron-rich sedimentary formation in the Archaean-Paleoproterozoic Hamersley Group. It is located about 50 kilometers north-west of Tom Price, near Mount Brockman, adjacent to Caves Creek Valley on Hammersley Station, Pilbara Region, Western Australia

This very special Marra Mamba pocket was quickly depleted, mined out long ago. Maybe someday another pocket of this amazing tigereye will be discovered. Once you’ve seen genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, there’s really nothing else to compare. It is one of our personal favorites! Shown wet and dry to see what polished slab would look like.
