Description
This is an exceptional specimen of the rare form of Octahedral pyrite in an artistic cluster that formed in an expanding structural like design. This specimen was from Rock Currier’s Jewel Tunnel Inc store in Arcadia CA. It came to us from a 1970’s and 1980’s collection we were able to find at a rock show. This piece is from the Huanzala Mine, Haullanca, Bologesi, Ancash, Peru. It is mounted with mineral tack on an acrylic base that is 2 inches square and ½ inch thick with chamfered edges. This is an excellent display and will come with a small amount of extra mineral tack in case you wish to change specimen mounting positions.
This piece weighs 5.6 oz or 0.35 lb (160g) and measures 2.4 x 2.1 x 1.3 inches (6.1 x 5.3 x 3.4 cm)
