Native Copper Specimen from the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan which is the most important locality in the world for pure native copper. Mining here began in 1845 and continued until 1982. We were able to get several specimens from a retired miner’s collection. This is a unique specimen of native copper from a world-famous locale. It is in an old 2.8 x 2.8 x 2.5 inch display box. Specimen was removed from box for photos, it was not attached in the box.
