Purple Cubes on Yellow Fluorite from Mexico

This specimen is a purple cube fluorite specimen with cube fluorite crystals on a base of yellow fluorite all this is on matrix. It has a bit of extraction damage to some of the crystals as seen in the photos. This fluorite is NOT fluorescent. This piece is from our personal collection. We got this at a rock shop in Deming, New Mexico in 1970. This has been a very special specimen of fluorite in our collection from Mexico for the last 54 years. It sits at a natural viewing angle and when the light is right, you can see the yellow and purple zoning in many of the crystals.

This specimen weighs 21.3 oz or 1.33 lb. (606g) and measures 4.5 x 2.3 x 2.8 inches (11.4 x 6 x 7.1cm)
