This is a stunning Apatite Crystal on matrix.

Specimens as pure as this are rare and seldom seen. We were lucky to find such a pristine piece! This specimen is from the Bear Lake Diggings, a commercial mineral collecting site located near the village of Tory Hill in Monmouth township, southeast Haliburton County, west of Bancroft in Ontario Canada. Besides stunning green apatite, this popular rockhound locality also is known for sphene, calcite and biotite, amphibole and feldspar to name a few favorites. This rare specimen was hand selected from a Canadian Minerals Dealer booth at the 2024 Franklin, NC. Rock Gem and Mineral Show.

This specimen weighs 3.16 oz. or 0.19 pounds (90g) and measures 3.3 x 2.3 x 1.2 inches (8.5 x 5.8 x 3.2 cm) The Apatite Crystal measures 1.5 x 0.85 inches (3.86 x 2.17 cm)
