Amazing Old Stock Clear to White Fluorite Cubes on Matrix from the classic locale, Weardale County in Durham, England. Pure Fluorite is clear This rare specimen came from a 1960’s collection that we were able to procure. This Fluorite also has the collectors note which states that it came from Kernowcraft Rocks and Gems in Truro, Cornwall, England (Kernow means Cornwall in Cornish).This provenance is included with this very rare specimen. This beautiful specimen fluoresces purple under SW, MW and LW Ultraviolet light. Fluorescent photos were taken in a blackout box with a Nikon CoolPix L-1 digital camera under a “Way Too Cool” triple wave 254/368/312 nm (SW/MW/LW) 9-Watt Lamp. Daylight photos were taken outdoors in natural light on an overcast mostly cloudy day. This is one of those rare occasions where you truly can own a Classic! We debated quite a while whether to keep this specimen in our personal collection or to offer it for sale…. Can’t keep all the ones we would like…. Our display space is not an unlimited area
