Fluorescent 14 Chalkocite from Vrance Czechoslovakia

Description

This fluorescent mineral named Chalkocite produces a fiery orange glow under SW ultra-violet light. This specimen was procured in 2005 from C. Powell at Hudson Valley Prospecting and includes his specimen identification card. It is from Vrance Czechoslovakia and was collected in 1980 behind the Iron Curtain. Chalkocite specimens not rare, but Fluorescent Chalkocite specimens are Very Rare.

This specimen weighs 11.4 oz or 0.71 lbs (324 g) and measures 4 x 2 x 1.7 inches ( 10.4 x 5.2 x 4.4 cm)
