#11 Fluorite Calcite and Chalcedony from Arizona

Description

This specimen has Fluorite, Calcite and Chalcedony. This very intriguing specimen came from a 1960’s collection and was in a box marked Arizona. The specific site or locale was not identified. This piece fluoresces a pink and green under SW and a purple under LW. Fluorescent photos were taken in a blackout box with a Nikon CoolPix L-1 digital camera under a “Way Too Cool” triple wave 254/368/312 nm (SW/MW/LW) 9-Watt Lamp. Daylight photos were taken outdoors in natural light on an overcast mostly cloudy day.

Specimen weighs 21.3 oz or 1.3 lbs. (603g) and measures 5.6 x 2.6 x 1.78 inches (14.2 x 6.6 x 4.5 cm)
