This is a very nice specimen of Almandine Garnets in a grey to clear matrix of quartz and albite from the Spruce Pine Mining District. Well formed garnets with minor extraction damage, nice cabinet specimen.
It weighs 3.8 oz or 0.24lb (108g) and measures roughly 2.3 X 1.6 X 1.5 inches (5.9 X 4 X 3.9 cm) the largest Garnet Crystal measures about 9.5mm
