Amethyst Geode Cathedral with Polished Back 54

Description

This is a large Amethyst polished face and back geode Cathedral from Brazil. It has all of the host rock shell removed down to the thick quartz base which has been ground and polished in a freeform type style. It has added cement as a base to make this a free standing display. It has large Amethyst crystals in the vug. When this piece is backlit or viewed wih the sun at its back it becomes a translucent like display. This is a special cathedral for the discerning collector.

This specimen weighs 14 lbs 9 oz (6.61kg) and measures 9.6 x 6.2 x 4.2 inches (24.4 x 15.8 x 10.7 cm )
