Description
This specimen is from the Ray Mica Mine, near Burnsville, Yancey County, North Carolina. It has what appears to be a twinned crystal of green beryl in a muscovite-quartz matrix. This is a gemmy Beryl crystal as seen on the end of the crystal. It is a rare find from a 1950’s estate N.C. collection we acquired. This piece is a most interesting combination of minerals from this locale. There appears to be no albite in this specimen.
