Brazilian Agate Geode 14

Description

This is a large agate quartz geode half from the Salto du Jacui Region in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This one has a cream colored drusy lined botryoidal vug with Goethite influence spots. The vug is surrounded with a crystalline pattern that is banded with  distinct white and grey agate rings. The agate fill continues outward displaying fortification lines with a light blue/grey agate to the white skin. The bottom is kind of flat and allows for the specimen to be displayed without any stand.

This piece weighs 52.8 oz or 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg) and measures 4.8 x 3.8 x 3.8 inches (12.3 x 9.7 x 9.8 cm)
