Fluorescent Fluorite and Calcite

This specimen is old stock (1950’s collection) from Weardale County in England. The fluorite in matrix fluoresces mild purple in SW and strong in MW and LW (shows best with MW and LW together). The shows a strong red-orange color. Fluorescent Photos taken under a Way Too Cool Triple Wave 254/312/368 nm SW/MW/LW 9-Watt Lamp in a blackout box. This rare specimen is from our personal collection.
