Fluorescent NJ 16 Willemite Veins in Calcite with Franklinite and Brick Red Willemite from the Sterling Hill Mine

Fluorescent Willemite veins in Calcite with some large Franklinite accents from the Sterling Hill Mine in New Jersey. The Willemite forms many bright green veins in the Orange Calcite. On the back side of this specimen there are semi-exposed brick red Willemite that explode in color and overwhelm the Calcite and Franklinite. This specimen makes a stunning fluorescent presentation. Daylight photos were taken in natural light outdoors. Fluorescent photos were taken in a blackout box with a Nikon CoolPix L-1 under a “Way Too Cool” 254 nm (SW) 9-Watt Lamp.
