Here’s an excellent display specimen of 2 blood red Pyrope Garnets in a light green to silver green thin (2.3 mm) book of Muscovite. It is from a 1950’s collection from the Deer Park Mine, Penland, Spruce Pine Mining District, Mitchell County, N.C.

This specimen weighs 11g and measures 3.7 x 2 inches (9.6 x 5.1 cm)
