Large Purple Uruguay Amethyst Geode 30

Description

This is a large Amethyst polished face geode from Uruguay which we procured from a South American mineral dealer. Amethyst from Uruguay is mined from the same igneous (volcanic) rock formation as the Amethyst to the North in Brazil. This geode has rare green banding all around the vug opening. This piece comes with the stand shown in left photo.

This specimen weighs 80.4 oz or 5.03 lb (2.282kg) and measures 6 x 4.6 x 6.1 inches (15.3 x 11.6 x 15.6cm )
