Excellent Large Specimen of an Ochoco Mountains, Lucky Strike Mine, Thunderegg (Lithophysae).
This stunning large Thunderegg has a nice opaque chalcedony natural window with a 1-1/2” long drusy lined white vug surrounded by a blue agate night sky and white waterlines that look like surf waves. There is a dark white circle like the moon with a wisp of a cloudlike formation moving across the moon, This amazing stone to us is the picture of a meteorite crashing into the night sea. These picture stones are our favorites! What do you see? There is a light pink contrasting border. The matrix is typical Lucky Strike Mine mottled green rhyolite with brick red and lavender speckles with light tan to cream accents. Natural fractures courtesy of Mother Nature! Excellent Collectors Specimen! From the Ochoco Mountains, Oregon.
