Here’s an excellent specimen of Flake Mica (aka Scrap Mica) layers with a layer of Quartz in the center. This is from the Clear River Valley, Lake Toxaway, NC.

This specimen weighs 6.9 oz or 0.43 lbs (196g) and measures 4.4 x 1.8 x 1 inch (11.2 x 4.7 x 2.6 cm)
