Octahedral Pyrite Two Sided Display from the Huanzala Mine, Peru 5

Description

This is an Octahedral Pyrite Two-Sided Display. This piece has many small crystals in different patterns on each of two sides. This is a large display specimen. This specimen was from Rock Currier’s Jewel Tunnel Inc store in Arcadia CA. It came to us from a 1970’s and 1980’s collection we were able to find at a rock show. This piece is from the Huanzala Mine, Haullanca, Bologesi, Ancash, Peru. It is shown on a black wood three peg display base from Brazil which is included with the specimen.

This piece weighs 13.3 oz or 0.83 lb (378g) and measures 3.9 x 2.8 x 1.2 inches (9.9 x 7.1 x 3.2 cm)
