Pyritohedral Pyrite Cluster from the Huanzala Mine, Peru 7

Description

This is rare specimen of a complex alteration Pyritohedron Pyrite cluster with minor Quartz. This piece also has some etchings on some of the faces and edges as well. This specimen was from Rock Currier’s Jewel Tunnel Inc store in Arcadia CA. It came to us from a 1970’s and 1980’s collection we were able to find at a rock show. This piece is from the Huanzala Mine, Haullanca, Bologesi, Ancash, Peru. It is mounted with mineral tack on an acrylic base that is 1 inch square and ½ inch thick with chamfered edges. This is an exceptional and rare display and will come with a small amount of extra mineral tack in case you wish to change specimen mounting positions.

This piece weighs 1.2 oz or 0.07 lb (34g) and measures 1.7 x 0.96 x 0.6 inches (4.4 x 2.4 x 1.5 cm)
