Trancas Geode Half 3

Description

This is one of those Trancas Geodes with interesting forms of quartz that is rather hard to categorize. It might be best described as “curved finger-like projections.” Some have described Trancas geodes as miniature caves with stalactites and stalagmites lining the hollow interior. There are plenty of those in this specimen. This is a great collector specimen that fluoresces a brilliant Green under Short Wave Ultra-Violet Light. This specimen cracked open face is not polished. Fluorescent photos taken with a Nikon coolpix L1 camera with the specimen under a Way Too Cool 254 nm SW 9-Watt Lamp in a black out photo box. Non-fluorescent photos taken with same camera in outdoor natural light.

Specimen weighs 10.94 oz or 0.68 lbs (310g) and measures 3.6 x 2.8 x 2 inches (9.2 x 7.1 x 5.1 cm)
