Description
This is a large Amethyst polished face geode from Uruguay which we procured from a South American mineral dealer. Amethyst from Uruguay is mined from the same igneous (volcanic) rock formation as the lighter color Amethyst to the North in Brazil. This geode plate has rare light green banding around the vug opening.
This specimen weighs 64.4 oz or 4.02 lb (1.826kg) and measures 5.8 x 4.3 x 4.9 inches (14.7 x 10.9 x 12.5cm )
