Polished Face Fluorescent Dugway Geode Half 63

Description

This is a most exciting Dugway Geode when viewed under a SWUV light source. The patterns are amazing in both daylight and UV light. This piece has the shell of almost a triple structure (discernable from the back of the piece) with a myriad of caves and swirls in the chalcedony and rhyolite host. The Chalcedony fluoresces a brilliant Green under Short Wave Ultra-Violet Light. This specimen cut face is polished. Fluorescent photos taken with a Nikon coolpix L1 camera with the specimen under a Way Too Cool 254 nm SW 9-Watt Lamp in a black out photo box. Non-fluorescent photos taken with same camera in outdoor natural light.

This specimen weighs 12.8 oz or 0.8 lb (362g) and measures 4.7 x 3.3 x 1.3 inches (12.1 x 8.4 x 3.4 cm)
